Ultra — Nationalism by Nationalists in Bangalore !

I found this yesterday in Facebook and immediately went to check the profile, only to find out that this guy belongs to the list of hyper-nationalists.

Let’s speak of something before jumping into the question :

Yesterday, one person in my Quora commented about “Oh you are not Shiv bhakth anymore, just a left-winger?” to which I calmly replied “Devotion must be in heart”

The same goes here : Hypernationalism is on the rise in India after 2014. Being patriotic is different from being an nationalist. For instance, there was a very popular answer here on Quora about how different “Patriots” & “Nationalists” are.

There was an India today article regarding this, after our nationalism exceeded way too much in calling whoever speaks bad against the government becomes Anti-national.

Nationalism vs patriotism: Do you know the difference?

For instance :

Source : Nationalism Isn’t Patriotism

Well I think, this image sums up everything. We haven’t worked for the progress of our country in these years & the government, whenever any issue pops up uses Nationalism as a cover and hides under it.

This image gives even more identity to the term “Nationalism”. If you look at patriotism, the image depicts how people are accepted. If you look at nationalism, well you know what that is.

The second column in the image speaks very clearly about what is happening in the country. Well, we are still telling Mughals are responsible for the economic crisis & speak of pseudo-science.

Now coming to the question :

Standing for National anthem. I pretty much agree that we must stand up for national anthem. Attention position & singing it along all those must be done. But wait? there is a place to do that right?

For instance, if fifty shades of gray is playing & if they put national anthem will you accept?

For instance, in my hometown they used to play porn movies to attract people & will people accept if they play national anthem there? No right?

The whole purpose of National Anthem being played in theatre, I find it absurd. Because people are coming there to relax, to chill & have fun.

Some “awesome” committed people come there for different purposes if you have noticed.

These people come there for “Entertainment”. You even collect “Entertainment tax” for it & National Anthem in an entertaining place? like theatre? Why not use that in pubs? ask all those people in pubs who come there to booze to stand in attention so that they can really show their “Nationalism”

My national anthem has respect. Huge respect in almost all countries and playing it in a theatre?

And the actor’s statements :

"Not able to spare 52 seconds for the country, but you have the audacity to sit here and watch a three-hour movie? Are you Pakistani terrorists?”

Breaking that statement : Not able to spare 52 seconds for the country, but you have the audacity to sit here and watch a three-hour movie

They have come there to watch a movie not national anthem

I guess the ticket must have cost them 300 something “each” and they didn’t sign up for standing there in the theatre. Rather, they came there to “relax”

Pakistani terrorists? I don’t understand this. So if people don’t stand up, they are what? terrorists? so if a 2yr old can’t stand up is that kid a terrorist. So if a old guy can’t stand up, he is a terrorist? So if a youth can’t stand up are they terrorists?

For people in BJP, I think 2 year old’s are also not spared. In tamilnadu, when that 2yr old kid Surjith wilson died, this was a nationalist guy’s request.

Well. I don’t know what to say.

“Our soldiers are fighting for us in Kashmir and you guys are sitting here and don't even stand for the national anthem. Get out of this place,"

This is where it gets interesting : Using armed forces for everything.

Remember 2019 polls how the supreme leader used “Vote for Pulwarma” & how they polarized the Military & Surgical strikes?

  • These guys think that they can do everything in the name of soldiers. Getting votes, using it to scare & ward off people.
  • I think there was a similiar incident where people were asked to go to pakistan by the BJP minister?
  • Or if I remember, the incident where a mob attacked another community’s house and said “Go to Pakistan”?
  • I also remember that muslims who didn’t vote for BJP became Pakistani nationals in the hands of BJP men

The army men do not protect the country for this shit to happen. I say this because my brother is in IAF and he is strongly against these.

Does that make them Pakistanis or terrorists? Does not standing up an insult to the anthem?

The law : According to Section 3 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, "whoever intentionally prevents the singing of the Indian National Anthem or causes disturbances to any assembly engaged in such singing shall be punished with imprisonment for a term, which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both."

Did the people prevent? N O P E.

Did the people cause disturbance? N O P E.

According to one of the person in the bench of lawyers, Justice Chandrachud "Why should we assume that if you don't stand during the playing of national anthem, you cease to be patriots?"

It is clear that these nationalists & failed actors are showing their ultra nationalism in whatever way it is required. Sheer hypocrisy is that when people speak up against the government, they are branded as anti-nationals & when they support for example canadian national Akshay Kumar, they are regarded as nationals. Funny !

It’s an indvidual decision & if they wanna honor it, they will. But in theatres, where entertainment is concerned, I feel it’s an unwanted thing because people come there for their leisure, their entertainment and nothing much.

This is so funny because people these days lose secularism because his friend didn’t wish for festival.

Joke.

For these Nationalists, economy is no matter, petrol price if risen no matter, inflation increases no matter, jobs lost no matter but is “Our nation greater than Pak?” aah yes yes ! that is important.

Come on people, wake up !! they are citizens of India like you. They have equal rights as you !! What if the person’s father is an ex army veteran? or what if their brother is in army? How do you know?

P. S : Karnataka is such a beautifulstate & Banglore is an awesome city. Please don’t spoil the name
